Hillsborough County Public Libraries are among one of our strongest collaborative partners. Library Administrator and Talk Read Sing Trusted Messenger, Jason Rogers,  recently appeared on Great Day Tampa Bay to promote National Reading Month and Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

This news clip is awesome! Jason shares plenty of learning activity ideas that can be done at home. There are cooking and baking activities, craft ideas; and of course, plenty of Dr. Seuss books to choose from to add to the at home reading list. And just like Jason says in the video around minute 4:15, the most important part for parents and caregivers is talking, reading and singing to the kids while doing activities with them. Get creative and let the imagination have some fun!

With everyone searching for virtual learning activities, what better time than now to explore the e-book
options at the library.

If you don’t have a Dr. Seuss book at home, check out their e-collection of Dr. Seuss’ stories. They also have a tumble library for kids with animated books being narrated, puzzles, games, language learning and more. Additionally, if you go to HCPLC.org and click on services, there is a “fun on the web” section for kids that includes games and other virtual activities from sites like Disney, PBS, Sesame Street, and more.
